Caregiving

In-home personal caregiving is our most frequently requested service. We are licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health as a Home Services Agency and as a Home Nursing Agency. We conduct fingerprint checks, drug tests and driving records to insure that we have a competent workforce of caregivers.

But, we go beyond these criteria and hire only individuals whom we would feel comfortable caring for our own family members. They must be reliable, honest, capable and dedicated to the field of in-home care.

We place a high value on what our clients’ most important wishes are. We believe that everyone knows what they most want; how they want their meals served, or how they want laundry done, or what TV shows they want to watch. The best thing about getting care at home is that our clients can have it “their way.”

Our services include:

• Personal Care: help with bathing, dressing and toileting; medication reminders, grooming
• Housekeeping: cleaning floors and other surfaces, laundry, dusting
• Meals: preparation, planning menu, clean-up
• Pet Care: basic care for pets, up to no more than two per household
• Transportation: escort to appointments, errands, shopping

Our schedules can allow for a little as a two-hour shift, up to 24-hour care or live-in help. All caregivers are oriented and supervised by our registered nurse. We maintain frequent contact with family, particularly when there is a change in condition. All care plans are in the home and updated quarterly, sooner if necessary.

We are on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, with a live person. When a regularly-scheduled caregiver must be replaced for any reason, we are able to insure continuity of care. Contact us today to get started!
